Perfect space and easy manoeuvrability are attributes that have always convinced the Mundus housekeeping trolley from Wanzl. Now the flexible all-rounder is equipped with an electronic drive system that makes the cleaning staff’s work noticeably easier. Compared to manual pushing, this significantly reduces physical strain and thus the risk of injury. “Of course, a fully loaded housekeeping trolley brings with it a decent amount of weight, which can be a challenge for employees to move,” says Markus Spengler, Senior Vice President Sales Hotel & Material Handling. “However, an electric drive system actively contributes to improving working conditions and increasing productivity.” At this year’s Internorga, the Mundus takes up a lot of space: Wanzl not only demonstrates the new drive system, but also the versatility of various models and versions, which results in numerous areas of application outside of housekeeping. Visitors will also find elegant solutions for luggage transport and practical helpers for the laundry service. The mini-market for the hotel lobby rounds off the range on the trade fair stand.
The Mundus housekeeping trolley from Wanzl, equipped with the ErgoMove drive system from Blickle, offers numerous advantages that go beyond simple handling. This means that the powerful electric motor not only enables smooth and precise control of the trolley, but also reduces physical strain for the cleaning staff. It also scores points with intuitive operation of the drive system, which means that even less experienced employees can use the trolley without any problems. In addition, the ErgoMove system supports the high manoeuvrability of the Mundus, so that narrow corridors and confined spaces are no longer a challenge.
From housekeeping to the wellness area
The robust design of the trolley ensures durability and reliability in daily use. The modular design allows individual adaptation to specific needs. This makes the Mundus a flexible all-rounder that can be used in spas and restaurants as well as in conference areas or on the terrace. Thanks to numerous design variants, including the “anthracite”, “natural oak” and “ebony” decors for the body as well as the frame colours “black metallic”, “titanium grey” and “gold metallic”, it fits seamlessly into any interior design concept. Wanzl offers a trolley from the tried-and-tested Mundus concept that makes minibar service effortless. It offers all the equipment features for transporting bottles and snacks, such as insertable shelves, practical compartment dividers, a railing as anti-slip protection and a lockable plastic roller shutter.
Luggage transport in style
When the guests arrive, it makes a big appearance: The Lobby luggage collection trolley from Wanzl can handle large amounts of luggage while also looking good. Thanks to high-quality materials, functionality and an attractive colour concept, the trolley fits into any hotel design. At the trade fair stand, Wanzl will be presenting the lobby in elegant black, but it is also available in modern stainless steel and classic gold. The Aera luggage transport trolley is also on display in Hamburg. Its slim design and high manoeuvrability make it easy to transport cases and accessories even in confined spaces. An all-round bumper strip protects the interior against damage. "We are once again showcasing well-thought-out solutions in Hamburg that provide direct support in the working environment and are value-retaining due to their quality. Because hoteliers are paying more attention than ever to the sustainability of their investments," says Spengler.
