Artificial intelligence optimizes green electricity usage, e-mobility and grid stabilization
The shared goal of the collaboration between ProCom and XCharge is to use wind and solar power for driving at low-cost rates while supporting the power grid. Learn more about the synergies the two partners unleash by coupling the energy and transportation sectors. At E-world energy & water (Hall 3, Stand 440) the companies are presenting their innovations for tomorrow's mobility.
Charging electric vehicles with wind and solar power while stabilizing the grid
The artificial intelligence of ProCom's BoFiT optimization and forecasting solution combined with the XCharge charging stations enables resource-conserving charging of electric vehicles, reducing the share of fossil energy in the electricity mix, and stabilizing the power grid.
To make the best possible use of wind or PV power, for example, the BoFiT software uses historical data from the XCharge charging stations to forecast loads. These forecasts facilitate short-cycle optimization, which in turn determines operating schedules for electricity generation. That helps green power reach the road ahead of its rivals.
To allow variations in electricity generation from renewable energy resources to be accommodated optimally, BoFiT also manages the charging process and adapts the power level and charging time to the available electricity supply. That reduces the need for reserve capacity, which currently is often provided by coal and gas power plants. This flexibilization of the charging process can additionally be linked to load-dependent rates. As a result, flexible charge management minimizes the use of fossil fuels and reduces costs for e-car drives.
The next development step is to merge power generation, electricity trading, storage systems and electromobility into an integrated managed system. Collectively the batteries of electric vehicles can provide secondary operating reserve to stabilize the power grid. With the aid of clever algorithms and smart charging stations, that can be done without any detrimental effects for vehicle drivers.
ProCom and XCharge are presenting their vision on how to drive the synthesis of the power and transportation sectors at the E-world trade fair in Hall 3 at Stand 440. The topics addressed by the planned presentations include "BoFiT E-Mobility: forecast and planning for optimal XCharge Loadmanagement," "Electrifying Transport – Challenges for public transport, logistics fleets and car sharing." Visitors can attend free presentations on all three days of the trade fair.

ITA B2B – Intraday electricity trading even without your own market access
The ITA market tool supports intraday trading. It gives a real-time overview of the current market situation, enables automatic generation of trading suggestions, and allows orders to be sent (manually or automatically) to the market or a trading service provider. The new version 3.0 of ITA also supports multi-market trading as a standard feature. The ITA B2B variant is a master/client solution that enables intraday trading for customers without their own market access. For this, ITA B2B provides an interface that allows orders and transactions to be sent to the master of a trading service provider admitted to the market. In addition, automatic status updating ensures that both sides can constantly follow the course of trading.
You can learn more about the functions ITA offers to simplify everyday trading at the ProCom demos and in the free presentation "ITA Multi Market: EPEX, Nord Pool, XBID and service providers."
en.View – your digital sales assistant
In today's energy market, bids must be made even faster and more efficiently and costings must identify differentiated options with current market conditions and clear margins. en.View automates your bid and contract processes using advanced web-based applications and gives you a tool for smart sales controlling. en.View offers various costing and planning modules for electricity and gas sales: an offline solution, an online shop solution, and the en.View portal.
To learn how en.View supports you on your tablet or PC and links in your customers over the Internet, visit the presentation "Digitization of energy sales with ProCom en.View" or ask for a personal tour at the demo station of our trade fair stand.
