Precise pin-pointing of partial discharges with BAUR tracy
Our new BAUR tracy partial discharge signal coupler is used to pin-point partial discharges in the cable or cable accessories and delivers the functionality of its predecessor model in a modern, user-friendly housing. Using a flexible coil, the BAUR tracy induces a signal into the faulty cable close to the pre-located partial discharge location. This signal can be evaluated using a partial discharge diagnostics or location system such as the BAUR PD-TaD in order to precisely locate the fault location. An additional time domain reflectometer is not required for this pin-pointing.
The lightweight, robust BAUR tracy can be operated intuitively with just a few buttons. The backlit display is easy to read in all light conditions. In addition, the new partial discharge signal coupler now has a high-capacity lithium-ion battery for longer use; the device housing is dust and splash-proof (IP54). The BAUR tracy is supplied with a transport bag and a long induction cable that enables signal coupling with all relevant cable diameters.
