Pharmapack Drug Delivery & Packaging, Paris Expo/Porte de Versailles,
24. und 25. Januar 2024 – Halle 7.2, Stand J60
Pharmapack Drug Delivery & Packaging in Paris has been a fixed date in the trade fair calendar of ZAHORANSKY Automation & Molds GmbH for many years. At Pharmapack 2024, the company will be focusing on its range of expertise covering the entire production process for pharmaceutical primary packaging based on COC/COP-based materials. The focus will be on the PRIMA Z, VITRO Z and LIVA Z production lines. The highly developed tool concepts and automation solutions for the production of complex plastic, hybrid and glass replacement products, including vials, pre-filled syringes, inhalers and dialyzers, are designed according to individual customer requirements and cover the entire production process - from automated multi-component injection molding, product assembly and testing to process control and optimization. This enables uninterrupted no-human-touch production with an Overall Equipment Effectiveness of over 85%. ZAHORANSKY's intelligent machine control system from Siemens ensures cross-system, intuitive human-machine communication. The desired products are programmed and visualized via intuitive touch operation with new icons and wizards directly on the machine. All production systems are integrated into ZAHORANSKY's "one-stop shopping" concept.
As part of its "one-stop shopping" approach, ZAHORANSKY offers its customers turnkey production systems based on comprehensive industry, product and automation expertise. The concept covers all processes from consulting and product design to the manufacturing of the necessary injection molds and the production of the products on automated systems and packaging. If required, medical technology validation in accordance with cGMP and a comprehensive quality management and service concept are also included. The "one-stop shopping" approach results in decisive advantages for pharmaceutical companies: The holistic solution from a single source reduces interfaces and engineering effort, thus increasing process and planning reliability and leading to a more predictable time to market. The high degree of automation also enables personnel and resource-efficient production.
PRIMA Z, VITRO Z and LIVA Z production lines
The PRIMA Z syringe is the first production line on the market with a 16-cavity mold for the manufacturing of staked needle syringes as primary pharmaceutical packaging for liquid medicines. These so-called parenterals are produced using a modern plastic injection molding process with overmolded needles. Plastic syringes with a screw thread - the so-called Luer lock - or Luer syringes can also be produced extremely economically and reliably on the system.
The VITRO Z production lines can meet the high global demand for in-vitro diagnostics (IVD). The VITRO Z dialyzer demonstrates its efficiency in the rapid production of capillary dialyzers: the system produces a fully assembled and tested dialyzer every four seconds. Another unique selling point is the drying process for semi-permeable membrane filters developed and patented by ZAHORANSKY. With the VITRO Z pipette, a double quick-change system ensures greater ease of maintenance and 30 percent shorter cycle times as well as consistently high output performance in the production of pipette tips. With the VITRO Z blood tubes, blood collection tubes can be produced quickly and efficiently in large quantities.
Drug delivery systems such as micropumps, pen injectors and inhalers are produced on the LIVA Z, enabling the contents to be administered safely and reliably at all times.

Background information
The name ZAHORANSKY has stood for reliability, precision, and sophisticated technology since 1902. The foundation for this was laid by Anton Zahoransky in his small workshop in Todtnau, where he manufactured the first devices and machines for automated brush production.
Thanks to the experience and expertise gained since then, ZAHORANSKY is now a full-range supplier and technology partner for companies in the brush industry, medical technology, and other sectors. With injection molds, mechanical engineering, automation technology, and packaging systems, ZAHORANSKY can provide comprehensive services for individual requirements. Approximately 900 employees, including 70 trainees, work to achieve this every day at ten locations in Germany, Spain, China, India, Japan, Brazil, and the United States.
ZAHORANSKY’s multi-system solutions cover the entire process chain: from integrating packaging technology and handling, to programming and robotics in the manufacture of fully automated production and assembly systems. ZAHORANSKY's technologies and services are widely used in the following industries: household and industrial brushes, oral care, medical technology, cosmetics, consumer goods, and packaging.
