The new double-deck inloader from TIRSAN offers large loading volumes along with the highest level of stability in the superstructure and impressive road performance. The concept for this vehicle was developed in close cooperation with logistics experts. Its distinctive characteristic: a centrally-positioned profile running along the side wall that connects the side panels with the intermediate floor and thus provides high structural stability, which in turn results in outstanding vehicle handling.
Through the new segmental construction, TIRSAN has succeeded with its double-deck inloader in taking another step forward with regards to further technical development which is of advantage for the transportation industry, in particular for those operating in the distribution sector. Directly connecting the side walls with the intermediate floor by means of the integrated aluminium profile, divides the vehicle´s loading space into two stable areas which, together, guarantees extremely high structural stability. With this 2-deck system, the double-deck inloader from TIRSAN achieves high anti-distortion rigidity and consequently very good road handling as recent final driving tests confirmed. This is a particularly important advantage if there is a high loading centre of gravity in the cases of partial loading. In addition,
more driving comfort is ensured through the air-suspension chassis together with stub axles.
The two loading areas each have an internal height of 1,830 mm and are separated by a 40 mm thick intermediate floor which can handle an evenly-loaded 20 tonne cargo or individual pallets weighing up to 600 kg. The flat intermediate floor construction is of great benefit regarding the available headroom which totals 1,840 mm in the standard design and can be taken into consideration by means of appropriate vehicle configuration in favour of a higher clearance within the context of the legal vehicle overall height of 4,000 mm.
55 euro pallets (34/21), 87 roll containers or 40 industrial pallets can be loaded on the vehicle at one time. Thus, the 2-deck system from TIRSAN provides around 60% more loading capacity compared with a conventional 34-pallet semi-trailer. In view of the current situation regarding transport costs such as highway toll charges and fuel costs, the cost-effectiveness of the TIRSAN double-deck inloader is an extremely sensible proposition.
In design and body technology, too, TIRSAN´s latest development has managed to score very favourably. The clear vehicle contour results from the centrally-positioned profile and the smooth, joint-free body walls, whose outer skin consists of powder-coated aluminium, provide an optimal surface for advertising purposes. The general use of brand components for the axles, brakes, control engineering etc. makes the TIRSAN double-deck inloader an economical and valuable item of capital equipment.
