Averatec 1000: The new standard for ultra portables

Colourful and light as a feather at only 1.6 kg, ultra bright images and comprehensive equipment: The Averatec 1000 sets new standards among the ultra mobile notebooks. It will be impossible to find the design as well as the features in this price category at other manufacturers. And this already starts with the colour: the cover comes in dark burgundy, the keyboard and interior come in pure white. Further, there is the new AveraBrite technology providing pictures on the 10,6’’ wide screen up to 50% brighter than traditional LCD displays. Despite dimensions of only 26 x 20 x 2.9 centimetres, the Averatec 1000 disposes of a full sized keyboard with keys the normal size of external keyboards. With all its technical features, the 1000 belongs to the ‘business features to consumer’-strategy: Intel Centrino ULV-Technology, WLAN, High Speed FireWire, USB 2.0 ports, Combo Disk Drive, 4:1 Card-Reader and much more. In spite of its size, the 1000 is a complete notebook at ‘economy’ prices of only £949.



Design, dimension and ultralight weight turn the Averatec 1000 into the ideal travel companion. Ideal not only to take to work but it can also be sported while travelling. With its dark burgundy cover, pure white interiors and a silver base, the Averatec 1000 is one of the beauties not only among the ultra mobiles. The new AveraBrite technology delivers a brightness of

240 cd/m2 and therefore pictures of up to 50% brighter than common LCD displays. And all this in 10,6’’ wide screen format with WXGA resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels.



The equipment is complete: Ultra Slim Combo Disk Drive for DVD and

CD-RW on board as well as a 4:1 Card-Reader for multi media Card, SD Card, Memory Stick and Memory Stick Pro all comes as standards equipment. Wireless LAN (802.11g) just like Ethernet connection and modem are integrated as with all Averatec notebooks. Stereo loud speakers and a video exit complement the equipment. Quick and easy connectivity is enabled via HighSpeed FireWire as well as two USB 2.0 ports.



Technical features without limits for the consumer are part of the new Averatec 1000: Intel Pentium M UltraLowVoltage 733 processor with 1.1 GHz for performance using just 5 watts. The result is, that Averatec 1000 proves to have stamina: The smart LI Ionen batteries and UltraLowVoltage technology processors provide for a run time of up to five hours. The 512 MB sized working memory offers enough reserves even for demanding applications and 80 GB hard disk provides enormous space for ‘data luggage’.



The Averatec 1000 also comes with a comprehensive customer service. A one year Pick Up & Return warranty coupled with a low cost help line 08712 40 50 60 is something other notebook manufacturers usually lack.
