Averatec 4155: 13.3” Widescreen Notebook with Turion Power and Designer Style
Dark blue cover, full-size keyboard and AveraBrite technology for £799 ( inc. VAT)
Averatec completes its range of stylish, colour-coordinated, slimline notebooks with the 13.3” widescreen Averatec 4155. It has a striking dark blue cover but in stark contrast, the interior is brilliant white. Powered by AveraBrite technology, the 13.3” WXGA screen provides excellent brightness and sharp contrast, delivering a perfect image in all conditions from a dull room to bright sunlight.
The 4155 is the first Averatec notebook powered by the AMD Turion MT 30 processor with 512MB RAM, providing high performance with minimal power consumption making it ideally suited for both home and business use. It also offers an 80GB hard disk, wireless LAN, high-speed FireWire and USB 2.0 All this is available at a price of only £799 inc. VAT.
The Averatec 4155 is the ideal travelling companion. Only a couple of cm wider than a standard 12.1” notebook, the Averatec 4155 boasts a full-sized keyboard, with keys spaced 19 mm apart for easy typing while on the move. AveraBrite technology delivers images with a luminance of 250 cd/m2 – up to 50 per cent brighter than conventional notebook screens. The wear-resistant touchpad gives a precise response and separate fields below and on the left enable quick scrolling in all directions. On top of all this, the 4155 comes with a multiformat (+/-) DVD burner and 4:1 card reader for MultiMedia Card, SD Card, Memory Stick and Memory Stick Pro - so it can handle just about any external media.
The notebook is packed with practical features including the ability to start up Windows Media Player or switch the wireless LAN on and off at the touch of a button. External interfaces have been well thought out, with three fast USB 2.0 ports, two on the left (one of which is an active port) and one on the right. With the active port, an external appliance such as an MP3 player or mobile phone can be recharged even when the 4155 is switched off. On the right are FireWire and Ethernet interfaces, an S-Video outlet and a PC card slot; on the left, a modem outlet, CD drive and card reader. It is also possible to connect an external screen to the back of the appliance, while headphone and microphone sockets are found on the front. And support for the 802.11g WLAN standard ensures that you always enjoy a good wireless connection.
