The 6240 Thin&Light Notebooks with instant DVD function

AVERATEC, an emerging leader in innovative mobile computing products, has now launched its new and improved 6240 instant DVD notebooks in selected stores across the UK.



With the new 6240 notebook, Averatec sticks to its principles by offering innovative business features and design for the consumer market but not compromising on the company’s high standard for quality products. With integrated 802.11g WLAN standard and 4 high-speed USB 2.0 ports, the 15.4” wide screen notebook enables you to go faster online and cables are now a thing of the past. The 6240 notebook is also equipped with a multi-format Dual DVD burner. A step up from its predecessor, the notebook works with an AMD Mobile Athlon™ 64 2700 Plus processor with en-hanced PowerNow!™ Technology and a 512 MB DDR333 working memory. 60 GB of hard disk offer a large amount of space for content to be saved directly onto the hard drive.



Your favourite films are only a click away as the notebook still contains all the amenities of the 6200 series including a standalone DVD player and a fully loaded and a functional notebook. Users can watch up to three 90-minute DVD movies, or listen up to 7+ hours of audio CDs or MP3 files, without powering on the notebook’s operating system. The DVD player is readily controlled with a dedicated audio/video wireless remote control, which is conveniently stored in the unit’s PCMCIA slot. And all in a handy, portable format.
