Flexible and economical: Wieland cuprotherm CTX

New branded copper tube to supplement proven cuprotherm series

In response to changing market conditions, Wieland-Werke AG, Ulm, Germany, will be presenting a very flexible branded copper tube. The extremely light tube with a well adhered coating offers the user ease of installation and also economical advantages. Its excellent properties ensure fast and easy installation. The new cuprotherm CTX tube is a solution for those who appreciate the quality and longevity of copper and at the same time want to use a calculable product at a stable price. Supplementing the cuprotherm series proven for over 25 years, the new tube is available in longer coil lengths (e.g. 100 metres) and suitable for a wide range of applications. The DVGW approval makes it possible to use cuprotherm CTX tubes also for drinking water applications. Moreover, cuprotherm CTX is suitable for wall and underfloor heating and cooling, radiator connections, concrete core cooling and earth collectors.



New tube generation offers numerous advantages

The new cuprotherm CTX tube offers decisive technical and economical advantages, which, apart from low weight, are state-of-the-art cutting technology, very high flexibility as well as joining technology on the basis of metal crimp fittings. The new tubes are easy to decoil and easy to bend by hand. They can be cut to length in one single cut with the cuprotherm CTX shears without any time-consuming sawing. Both effects considerably facilitate installation. Calibration and deburring are also done in one operation. Subsequently, the tubes are crimped, both sealing elements of the crimp fitting being precisely embedded between the metal surfaces of the fitting and the seamless drawn copper tube.



Besides ease of installation, cuprotherm CTX tubes provide calculation reliability, a very important aspect in the current market situation. Sufficient price stability is ensured by low metal weight, making it possible to realize major long-term projects with the necessary planning reliability.





With a clear commitment to sustainable construction, cuprotherm CTX tubes are also certified as environmentally compatible construction product based on an environmental declaration (type III). The declaration of environmentally relevant product data, verified by an independent committee of experts affiliated with AUB, by far exceeds previous environmental labels such as the Blue Angel (type 1) or the manufacturer´s self-declaration (type II). It emphasizes the suitability for use in municipal buildings and especially Federal buildings.
