Heavy load combinations for all assignments: The modular Combi range
EuroCombi, FlatCombi, InterCombi: SCHEUERLE presents its latest pendulum axle technology
The latest generation of the Combi series, which includes the EuroCombi, FlatCombi and InterCombi, is part of the fair exhibits from the heavy-load transporter manufacturer, SCHEUERLE. The EuroCombi, FlatCombi and InterCombi series of vehicles are all equipped with modern pendulum axle technology and have proved their worth many times over in the tough world of heavy-duty transport. Due to their robust lightweight construction, manoeuvrability and large number of combination possibilities, these vehicles are suitable for most demanding of heavy load and special transportation tasks, handling loads of more than 1,000 tons and travelling at speeds of up to 80 km/h. Made of high-strength steel, the Combi series of vehicles can be coupled both lengthwise and sideways, and be moved as trailers or semi-trailers. Representing the Combi range at the bauma, SCHEUERLE is exhibiting a 4-axle EuroCombi and a 2-axle InterCombi platform trailer unit. In addition, a self-propelled SPMT heavy load transporter complete with electronic steering is on display. The central element of the modular platform trailer is the hydraulically supported pendulum axle. This allows a large steering angle of up to 60 degrees which, in connection with optimized steering geometry on the basis of a dual-circuit displacement steering system, ensures that the Combi series has exceptional manoeuvrability in tight spaces. The large hydraulic axle compensation and automatic load levelling guarantee a simple loading process and safe use even on difficult road surface conditions.
Apart from the pendulum axle technology, the Combi range is characterised by its combinability – not only through the modular coupling of individual platform trailers to form larger units, but also the individual bogies with loading decks which SCHEUERLE offers in numerous versions. The bogies in the Combi series are available in 2 to 8-axle versions which, with different types of loading decks and drawbars or goosenecks, can be assembled to create individualised transport combination for the specific use of the owners. The Combi transporters are suitable for long-distance road transportation as well as moving the most demanding abnormal heavy loads for the specific use of the owners. Due to the extraordinary loading capacity and the modular combinability of the vehicles based on the modular design principle, the Combi series from SCHEUERLE provides a cost-effective solution for every assignment.
A heavy duty unit with hydrostatically driven pendulum axles and electronically controlled multi-directional steering from the SPMT range, is on display on the SCHEUERLE Open-Air Area F8, Stand N 825/1.
