Japanese special transport firm orders SCHEUERLE modular transporter
with a payload of more than 3700 tons
Sankyu. Inc., a Japanese special transport company, with its headquarters in Tokyo, has placed yet another order for a module transporter with SCHEUERLE Fahrzeugfabrik – the vehicle is currently being produced at the company´s facilities in Pfedelbach. Sankyu has been on SCHEUERLE´s clientele list for over 20 years now. With this new vehicle unit order, Sankyu has extended its existing transportation capacity by a further 3,700 tons of payload.
The order, which includes a total of 102 axle lines, consists of module transporters with 3, 4 and 6 axle lines. In addition, the scope of delivery contains several power packs and drivers cabins. The order means that Sankyu has now extended its transportation capacity by an extra 3,700 tons of payload. This very latest SPMT modular transporter is being synchronized so that it is fully compatible to the units already supplied by SCHEUERLE.
With vehicles of this particular series, enormous and heavy loads are moved, such as in the off-shore industry for the transportation of oil or gas production installations. Weights of 15.000 tons and more have already been transported with module transporters supplied by SCHEUERLE. Often, more than 2,000 wheels are in use during this type of operation, on which the load is evenly distributed. The STEPS 3 (SCHEUERLE Transporter Electronic Processor System) electronics program, specially developed by SCHEUERLE, controls and synchronizes every single movement sequences such as the drive system and steering.
SCHEUERLE is the world´s leading manufacturer and recognized specialist in the area of modular, self-propelled heavy load vehicles (SPMT) and the first port of call in providing solutions for unusual transportation tasks.
