KAMAG supplies to "Global Enterprises" in Korea

KAMAG Transporttechnik in Ulm has delivered Modular Transporters to one

of the biggest companies for special-purpose-vehicles in Korea, "Global Enterprise ltd.” . "Global Enterprise” works in many fields of transport in which special purpose vehicles are needed. Global works as well in the field of special transporters for the offshore and the industrial area. Prefabricated industrial plants, oil rigs and ship sections which are extremely heavy and which have vast proportions are transported.



For this kind of transport, Modular Transporters are needed, which can be coupled together depending on the size and weight of the load. The all-wheel-steered vehicles, which are available with two, four or six axles are driven by a Power Pack coupled to them. This includes a Diesel engine as drive of the hydraulic pumps. They provide the hydrostatic drive and the steering as well as the lifting cylinders in the individual bogies in order to move them with pressurized oil.



The electronic multi-mode-steering makes the vehicle combination extraordinarily manoeuvrable for a precise positioning of oversized loads. This is supported by computer-controlled steering programs like carrussel-drive, diagonal- and transverse drive. All functions can be handled with a remote control by only one person.



The current order which comprises in total four 6-Axle Modular Transporters and two Power Packs was carried out in two charges. After the technical inspection by our Korean customer on site in Ulm, the last two units were shipped to Korea.



A forwarding agent transports the 6-axle-vehicles, with a weight of 24 tons each (incl. Power Pack) to the North Sea Port in Hamburg and load them on a cargo ship. It takes 30 days until the transporters arrive in Korea, Masan port.



In total "Global enterprises” has now more than 100 KAMAG axle lines. All vehicles connected in one combination are able to transport loads up to 3000 tons.
