New 10.6 inch Ultra Mobile Averatec 1050 Notebook Series

Premium colour design, Centrino and advanced AveraBrite technology – all for less than £1,000

Averatec has launched its new ultra portable 1050 Notebook Series complete with compact 10.6 inch WXGA display and stylish dark burgundy red lid for only £999 including VAT.



With burgundy top, pure white interior and silver undercarriage, the new Averatec 1050 has been designed to stand out from the crowd of dull black and grey 14 and 15 inch notebooks – providing a slim line format and all the features usually reserved for more expensive business models. With Intel Centrino technology, wireless LAN and DVD burner / combo drives as well as ultra bright screens and AveraBrite technology as standard, the new notebook is very attractive to both business and consumer users.



The ultra mobile Averatec 1050 weighs a mere 1.6 kg and measures only 266 x 202 x 29 mm. The 10.6 inch wide screen format display with WXGA resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels features AveraBrite technology that gives brightness of 240 cd/m2 and pictures up to 50% brighter than common LCD displays.



The interior of the Averatec 1050 Series is economical and powerful. The new Intel Pentium M UltraLowVoltage 733 processor with 1.1 GHz caters for high performance, using just five watts. And with the UltraLowVoltage technology, the notebook performs with a battery run time of up to five hours.



Additionally, the notebook is equipped with 512 MB working memory and 80 GB hard disk, which provides enough capacity for even the most demanding applications and large capacity data ‘luggage’.



Quick connection of peripherals is made possible via HighSpeed FireWire as well as two USB 2.0 ports. The ultra slim combo drive for DVD and CD-RW is integrated as standard along with a 4:1 Card Reader for Multimedia Card, SD Card, Memory Stick and Memory Stick Pro. Wireless LAN (802.11g), Ethernet connection and an integrated modem are also standard for all Averatec notebooks. Stereo loud speakers and a video output complement the equipment of the new notebook.



Averatec continues to offer high levels of customer service with low cost customer support line 08712 40 50 60, open from 7am to 7pm as well as the one year Pick Up, Repair & Return warranty. This level of support is not common among other notebook manufacturers and ensures Averatec’s customer stringent service policy is met.
