New: KAMAG Makes the Wiesel Even More Profitable -
The Wiesel swap body lifting truck can now also be used in winter
The Ulm special vehicle manufacturer, KAMAG Transporttechnik, has developed another option for the Wiesel swap body lifting truck. The flexible special vehicle can now be equipped with a plough for winter service at logistics yards. Investing in this additional equipment is a profitable decision for logistics yards, particularly against the backdrop of mainly short-term winter conditions.
The Wiesel is a powerful special vehicle designed for moving swap bodies and for shunting trailers and semitrailers. KAMAG has achieved a sophisticated combination of heavy goods technology and series components in the vehicle concept. This means best operating comfort for the customer coupled with a robust design.
To increase the possibilities of the extremely flexible special vehicle even further, the specialists at KAMAG have developed an option of winter service equipment. A snow plough is fixed to the front of the driver’s cabin using a special attachment. Operations, such as lifting, lowering and plough angle setting, are effected hydraulically using a separate auxiliary drive system. This means that the on-board hydraulics retain their full capacity for traction drive, steering, raising and lowering the lifting table, or trailer coupling.
Thanks to the mid-engine concept, the Wiesel has good load distribution to the front and rear axles from the ground up. A ballast bridge can be added in extreme winter conditions, which can also be used to carry gritting material.
