ZAHORANSKY Z.ORCA 18: High performance in a small space

With the new Z.ORCA 18, ZAHORANSKY continues the success story of its proven Z.ORCA series and presents its most compact and versatile single-head stuffing machine for industrial toothbrush production to date. The machine was specifically developed for modern manufacturing environments where space is limited but demands for flexibility and performance are high. With a footprint of only 4.77 square meters in the basic version, it impresses with its outstanding performance: it can produce up to 30 toothbrushes per minute, and with special patterns with fewer holes, such as children's toothbrushes with double tension, even up to 60 pieces per minute – without compromising on quality. The new Z.ORCA 18 offers the familiar advantages: its robust construction ensures low vibration, low noise levels, and outstanding machine availability of up to 98 percent. As a logical further development of the Z.ORCA machine family, the Z.ORCA 18 offers maximum flexibility and a wide range of configuration options. Up to eight finishing stations are available to create a wide variety of brush designs and finishes. This high degree of flexibility in terms of decoration options makes it easy to apply special image embossing to toothbrushes, for example for logos or mascot motifs.

The Z.ORCA 18 can be connected directly to various injection molding machines or combined with a compact feeding system from ZAHORANSKY. The type of feeding can be selected freely – from manual to fully automated – and enables smooth and economical operation throughout. The machine also features a particularly sustainable innovation: Thanks to a special conversion kit, the new Z.ORCA 18 can now produce toothbrushes with plastic anchors in addition to traditional anchor wires – all without expensive modifications or major investments. Since the toothbrush bodies, filaments, and anchors are made of plastic, toothbrushes that are no longer in use can be easily and completely recycled.

With this conversion option, ZAHORANSKY offers the opportunity to further develop the respective product range easily and without high investment costs in line with current consumer preferences and market trends. As consumers in the oral care sector are increasingly making their purchasing decisions based on the ecological balance of products, pure plastic toothbrushes perform better than conventional models due to their recyclability.
